Ten Days and Tons of Fun

 

 March 17th  2022: I left Abbeville at 6:00 am and stopped in Las Cruzes New Mexico for the night with Sydney and Jyi in tow.  It felt as though Texas would never end.  I loved the desert but ready for some color. We drove through a few wind/dust storms along the way. Not great for sinuses, but the temperatures were awesome.

March 18th 2022. Lake Havasu Arizona.  Definitely an adult toy land. Full of Big boy toys and girls  gone wild. It is the most beautiful lake in the middle of the desert. Experienced the most awesome moon over the water(see below)

March 19th: Drove to  Santa Barbara CA  for the night.  Met up with Christine, Sharla, and Erin  for a scheduled hot air balloon ride that was unfortunately canceled due to high winds.  We rescheduled the balloon ride for the next day.

March 20th  Arrival at the house in Big Sur.  

March 21st:  Pebble Beach , 17 mile Dr. and 2nd attempt to Hot Air Balloon. No luck cancelled because of high winds. But they gave us the champagne anyway.

 

March 22nd: Muir Woods and Sausalito Tour.  Luck would have it I came down with a terrible sinus infection and had to skip the fun and head to a walk in clinic.  Ending up spending a nice quiet time at the house before the rest of the gang returned and were ready for hijinks.

March 23rd Lake Tahoe.  This place DID NOT disappoint! Such an explendid illustration of the wonder and amazement God's creations.  If you ever get the opportunity, don't miss it, you'll be happy you did!

  March 24th:  Finally got to go Hot Air Ballooning.  Not at all what I expected.  It felt like you were just floating in one place.  Magical!

March 25th Monterey whale watching and Sea Cars.  The humpback whales are migrating from their winter calving  and mating areas off the coast of Mexico to their summer and fall feeding areas on the California Coast.  They are massive and something to watch.

Sea Cars.  These people should not have let us loose on the city streets with these things.  That is all that I am saying! 😮😮😲

March 26th: Pfeiffer Beach and Garrapata State Park~ Big Sur

March 27th:  McWay Falls and just hanging out before the last group flies out to head home.

Got to experience this joy with my cousin/sister/friend!

Ten days and tons of fun. Although  I've haven't had much time for social media, this  afternoon I logged on and in  my memories on this day in 2012, my quote  said" To live a good life, we must assume nothing, do more than necessary, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh alot and realize how blessed we are".  This is absolutely indicative of the last 10 days.  God is great. 💓😊
